The Van Nelle factory building is now home to more than 80 big and small businesses in media and design. Until 25 years ago this used to be a thriving tobacco, coffee and tea factory. During 64 years the mixed aroma of tobacco, coffee and tea would greet you at the door. When I finally do find the door to the building, I’m greeted by music and countless vendors in the former factory halls. Hip food trucks and gourmet coffee stands now fill the space where formerly tea was stored. Now it’s filled with new aroma and I can choose from an endless supply of stuff I don’t need. However, that has never stopped me before 🙂 Armed with my camera I capture the unique space outside and in. Nice clean cut lines shifts to color and kitch. The amazing light magnifies the glass and steel construction as well as the hipster goods.
